About the Greater Houston Freight Committee

In order to establish an on-going conversation between the elected officials who allocate transportation improvement funds and the private sector entities that use the transportation system, H-GAC has created a unique collaborative forum called the Greater Houston Freight Committee.

The committee's goal is to ensure full incorporation of freight into the transportation planning process and establish an on-going conversation between the private and public sector on freight transportation priorities, needs, and solutions.

The Greater Houston Freight Committee operates an open membership, and invites anyone interested in the maintenance or funding of the region’s low-cost supply chain to join us. Meetings, agendas, and activities are headed up by two appointed Co-Chairs.
