HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
Transportation Policy Council - December 21, 2018
At its December meeting, the TPC unanimously adopted Resolutions of Commendation for four outgoing TPC members for their many years of service to the region.

Pictured with the TPC officers in each photo on the left are: Harris County Judge Ed Emmett (top left), Fort Bend County Commissioner James Patterson, (middle left), Chambers County Commissioner Rusty Senac (middle left), and Missouri City Assistant City Manager, Scott Elmer, P.E. (bottom; left).

Other action included a Resolution to amend the 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the 2040 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). Six amendments were approved that added funding to four existing roadway construction projects, programmed a new roadway and a new transit project, and cancelled a transit project.

Another Resolution was adopted by the TPC to amend the 2018-2019 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) to reflect carryover projects to fiscal year 2019.

Other action by the TPC was approval of a Revised Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Texas Central Partners, LLC, and the H-GAC Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the proposed high-speed rail project between Houston and Dallas.
