About the Regional Conservation Initiative

The Houston-Galveston region benefits from an unparalleled natural heritage. H-GAC’s Regional Conservation Initiative will work across all 13 counties to support conservation projects that maintain, restore and enhance natural areas in our communities. The initiatives’s elements are laid out in H-GAC’s Regional Conservation Framework, a high-level strategy to coordinate and magnify local conservation efforts to enhance our resiliency and the quality of life in our region’s communities.

We provide conservation outreach templates and tools designed for local governments and other partners to use to tell unique conservation stories in their communities and to their residents and stakeholders. Tools include social media posts, infographics and posters, news release templates, and videos.
