Continuing the City's trail system to provide alternative mode of transportation to points of interest. The project is included in the Houston-Galveston Area Council's 2040 Regional Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan as a Conceptual Regional Bikeways Priority 1, the City of Pearland Master Trail Plan, City of Pearland Comprehensive Plan, Houston Parks Board- Clear Creek Trail Plan and the Northern Brazoria County/Pearland Subregional Planning Initiative study. The franchise utility owners will be responsible for the relocation and associated costs, where applicable. Pipeline relocations (if necessary) will be through individual agreements with the pipeline companies and will be 20% City funded and 80% TIP funded. Yes The project will be built along the banks of Clear Creek. Clear Creek is controlled by Brazoria Drainage District #4 on the Brazoria County side and Harris County Flood Control Distric on the Harris County side. Both entities are in support of the bikeway and trail programs along the creek and bayou systems. The project will improve alternative access to El Franco Lee Park, University of Houston/Pearland Campus, Tom Reid Library, City of Pearland City Hall, Independence Park, & Centennial Park. Presentation to City Council regarding resolution supporting 2015-2018 TIP projects, parks Trail Master Plan Adoption, and Parks board approval.
