The facility had 82 crashes, 7 serious injuries and 1 fatalities during the period from 2015 to 2017. The truck volume on the facility is roughly 2,749 trucks per day and this represents 25.8% percent of the facility's AADT. The existing facility consists of a section with two travel lanes (one in each direction) with a center left turn lane and minimal shoulders and a section with passing lanes and ten foot shoulders.
Widen roadway to 4 lanes.
The purpose of this project is to reduce crashes, serious injuries and fatalities; reduce congestion on the facility and improve the reliability of peak-period travel times; reduce congestion and improve travel time reliability for freight movement on this facility.
