SH 99 Seg D Widening
Harris County
SH 99
From N of KINGSLAND BLVD to FORT BEND COUNTY LINE
Current and projected growth in the area has caused traffic demand to increase, and the existing facility does not have adequate capacity to accommodate current mobility needs. The existing facility experiences congestion throughout the day and there is excessive queuing at intersections. The facility had 244 crashes during the period from 2015 to 2017. The truck volume on the facility is roughly 6,789 trucks per day and this represents 8.2% percent of the facility's AADT.
Widening SH 99 from a four-lane to a six-lane divided roadway
The purpose of the proposed project is to improve mobility and reduce congestion to meet current and future traffic demand.
