Project Information
IH 10 Baytown Ramp Reversal
Harris County
IH 10
John Martin Rd. to Garth Rd.
The current exit ramp is in too close of a proximity to the intersection at Garth Road, which results in queuing and weaving. The facility had 125 crashes, 1 serious injuries and 1 fatalities during the period from 2015 to 2017. Improving congestion on this facility could save users in excess of 76,000 hours of travel time per lane-mile. Congestion is adversely affecting the travel time and reliability for freight movement. The project is on the National Highway Freight Network. The truck volume on the facility is roughly 16,104 trucks per day and this represents 19.5% percent of the facility's AADT.
Eastbound Ramp Reversal
This project would reverse the existing entrance and exit ramps. The purpose of this project is to reduce congestion on the facility and improve the reliability of peak-period travel times; reduce congestion and improve travel time reliability for freight movement on this facility.
