The Texas Office of the Governor's, Public Safety Office is soliciting applications for Criminal Justice projects that promote public safety, reduce crime, and improve the criminal justice system.

General Victim Assistance

The Texas Office of the Governor’s, Public Safety Office (PSO) is soliciting applications for General Victim Assistance projects that provide services and assistance directly to victims of crime to speed their recovery and aid them through the criminal justice process.

Juvenile Justice & Truancy Prevention

The Texas Office of the Governor’s, Public Safety Office (PSO) is soliciting applications for Juvenile Justice & Truancy Prevention projects prevent violence in and around school; and to improve the juvenile justice system by providing mental health services, truancy prevention and intervention through community-based and school programs.

Violence Against Women Justice and Training

The Texas Office of the Governor’s, Public Safety Office (PSO) is soliciting applications for Violence Against Women Justice and Training projects that promote a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach to improve the justice system’s response to violent crimes against women, including domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking.

Grant Application Process For Fiscal Year 2025

Please note the changes to the grant application process for fiscal year 2025.

Applicants must complete the following three steps to be eligible for any of the Criminal Justice Program grants:

1. Attend a Grant Application Workshop

2. Email Letter of Intent/Summary to H-GAC by Thursday, February 8, 2023

3. Submit eGrants Application by Thursday, February 8, 2023

The Letter of Intent/Summary and eGrants process will be reviewed at the grant application workshops. All application materials will be distributed to workshop attendees.

Failure to complete any of these steps may disqualify an applicant from being eligible for funding.

Applications must be certified by the AO prior to 5:00 PM CST on Thursday, February 8, 2023.
