Houston, TX – The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC), in partnership with the city of Dayton, invites the public to participate in the Dayton Transit Study aimed at exploring innovative transit solutions and evaluating a variety of transportation options—including emerging technologies—to better serve the community.

“The Dayton Transit Study is an important step toward improving mobility options for the Dayton community,” said Alan Rodenstein, H-GAC transportation planner. As part of the study, H-GAC and the city of Dayton will host a public meeting to share project updates and gather community feedback:

Dayton Transit Study Public Meeting
5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. | Thursday, March 27, 2025
Dayton Community Center
801 South Cleveland, Dayton, TX 77535

“We want to hear directly from residents about their transportation needs and priorities so we can develop solutions that truly serve Dayton,” Rodenstein added. “Your input will help shape the future of transit in the city.”

Residents who are unable to attend the public meeting will have another opportunity to learn more and engage with the project team during the city of Dayton’s Food Truck Friday event:

Community participation is a key part of this process. Residents are encouraged to attend, learn more about the study, and complete the project survey to help shape the future of transit in Dayton.
