The purpose of wayfinding is to educate and inform a visitor of their new surroundings to help familiarize themselves with the features, amenities and function of the space they find themselves in. Good design arrives at a realistic and viable vision of what a place might become.

2. Please provide a narrative explaining how the proposed project improves traffic operations. Within the narrative, please include if the proposed project includes construction of truck only lanes or managed truck only lanes, construction of an interchange, or intersection improvements.

Within the narrative, please explain if the proposed project scope includes construction of a new or improved existing bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure on a project facility or in the vicinity of the project.

Wayfinding signs provide information about destinations, direction, and distance to help bicyclists determine the best routes to take to major destinations. Signs provide on-the-ground information that helps bicyclists understand and use the on-street and trail network without the use of a map.

4. Please provide a narrative explaining how the proposed project improves traffic conditions for transit services (local, express, signature, or commuter).

Wayfinding signage should help people find their way quickly by identifying pedestrian areas and directing drivers to their lanes and parking spaces. Suppose you find yourself in an environment outside your comfort zone, like attending an interview in another city or starting university. In that case, you will understand the importance of wayfinding signage in helping ease unrest and safely guide you to your destination. In public places, wayfinding signage helps with the flow of pedestrians and traffic, enhancing the safety of everyone. Public spaces may have pickpockets or cons looking for easy targets. As a way of guaranteeing safety for visitors and residents, your city needs to invest in wayfinding signage to prevent consequences of intentional misguiding by people looking to prey on visitors or residents who seem lost or unaware of how to get to their destination.

Using technology when roads are inoperable or an accident, signage can provide the right path to go to enhance safety and efficiency.

A good wayfinding package will reduce the wear and tear on the road.
