Natural Resources Advisory Committee

The Natural Resources Advisory Committee serves as a forum to advise the H-GAC Board and local decision-makers on policy issues affecting natural resources in the 13-county Houston-Galveston region. Its membership includes diverse representatives from local governments, natural resource management agencies, environmental organizations, and the private sector.

Natural Resources Advisory Committee Responsibilities:

• Review and advise H-GAC’s Board of Directors on natural resource related goals and objectives.
• Identify issues and propose work programs to fulfill the objectives of the Natural Resources Advisory Committee and pertinent legislation.
• Provide opportunity for all segments of the public to participate in natural resource planning. Review and advise on H-GAC work programs in natural resources areas.
