Elder Justice Program
Elder abuse is one of the fastest-growing crimes in the United States. As the senior population reaches new heights thanks to the Baby Boomers, the growth in elder abuse seems destined to continue. In response, H-GAC launched the Elder Justice Program in 2018. The goal is two-fold: (1) to provide direct services to seniors who have been victimized by crime and (2) to provide training, technical assistance and other support for local efforts to build a coordinated community response to rising incidents of elder abuse.
