As part of the Regional Conservation Initiative and in coordination with H-GAC's Clean Waters Initiative and Parks and Natural Areas Roundtable programs, H-GAC hosted workshops, roundtables, and peer exchanges. These events have focused on conservation topics, including riparian areas, prairie preservation, and trail building.

Attendees heard expert insights on trail planning and available resources and learned about local experiences with trail planning and building. H-GAC also debuted a new, interactive mapping trail mapping tool. The event concluded with a robust peer exchange of information among attendees.
